AsiaSoft reports profits, expands into Malaysia.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand : Pramoth Sudjitporn, Chief Executive Officer, Asiasoft Corporation Public Company Limited, AS, said Asiasoft had recently purchased shares of Funbox, which marketed three online games in Thailand. He believes the company's capability to select the online games and provide the top-up service will help Funbox to increase its earnings in the coming year. Asiasoft will handle only its main policy but for its operation, the company existing team will take care of.

The highlight of the first half of this year in terms of the earnings, the launch of the two new games: Ghost and Freestyle and the new campaign, "@Reward", boosted Asiasoft's earnings to 416 million baht and the net profit to 67.8 million baht. Such an enormous growth came from its various marketing strategy.

Meanwhile, Asiasoft benefits from its market expansion of online games services in four countries in the Southeast Asia region, which help reduce the system networking cost, whilst enhancing the good relations with allies and partners in the region.

"Asiasoft's business covers four countries in the Southeast Asia region. The company plans to invest in IT equipment in Malaysia around the end of this year, in hopes of promoting cost reduction and its strength. In addition, in the second half of this year, the company has a plan to launch five new online games in four countries in the Southeast Asia region. The company is confident that the company's growth and profit during the second half will meet the target," he said.
