Asiasoft Corporation Public Company Limited announces sales of 1,191.80 million baht at the end of the third quarter this year or 10.1% higher than the same period a year ago due to aggressive business expansion in online entertainment sector. The company is planning to launch new games in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia to attract gamers while seeking partners to help explore the lucrative online business

Mr. Pramote Sudjitporn, CEO of Asiasoft Corporation PLC, the number 1 online game provider of Southeast Asia, disclosed that the performance for the first 3 quarters totaled up to 1,191.80 million baht or up 109.30 million baht or 10.1% over the same period a year ago due to the increased popularity of the online game industry and the company's expertise in developing new channels for the online entertainment business to match the needs of target customers at affordable prices.

As for the quarter by quarter comparison, the sales for the third quarter sales dropped 6.5% or 26.8 million baht to 389.2 million baht due to increased investment overseas in network system and server, as well as higher marketing costs and higher number of personnel, including postponement of new games abroad to slowdown revenue.

"The company has adjusted the growth target for the year to 10-15%. However, we are still confident in maintaining the net profit level of that of last year," he said.

"In the fourth quarter, Asiasoft prepares to launch 2 new games in Thailand, 3 in Singapore and 2 in Malaysia. These new games are expected to gain popularity from target customers, which should translate into revenues during the end of the fourth quarter," he added.
