Asiasoft Corporation PLC reports 10% growth for its total revenue in 2008. Sales also increase by 3 % from 1.559 billion baht to 1.611 billion baht with dividend pay out to shareholders.

Mr. Pramoth Sudjitporn, CEO of Asiasoft Corporation PLC, the number 1 online game provider of Southeast Asia, disclosed that the company's performance for the entire 2008 ending December 31, 2008, posted net profit of 185 million baht. In Thailand, net profit improved 15.6% over that of 2007, while elsewhere, the figure declined due to higher management costs to accommodate future business expansions. "Revenue realization overseas still fails to meet the target," he said.

"Performance was quite satisfactory, so we decided to pay out dividend worth 0.63 baht per share to shareholders. The dividend payment was first made on September 5, 2008 at 0.31 baht per share. The remaining dividend worth 0.32 baht per share will be paid out during the second half of this year.

"The company is not affected by the current economic and political situations as compared with other businesses because online entertainment requires low expenses and is highly accessible to everyone. We are confident this industry will be closely watched in 2009, when we prepare to take on the online games in the Philippines and hope to make Singapore the online service hub. The company is preparing to contact copy righted games owners aboard to use their contents as part of the service offering in Singapore to customers in the middle-east, Australia and New Zealand," he said.

"In addition, we will continue to seek out new business opportunities on the Internet for our investments since they could be supportive businesses for our online game operation. Projected target has been made for revenue by at least 20% from 2008," he concluded.
