Asiasoft Corperation reported healthy Q2/2008 earnings at the "Opportunity Day" event held at the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Aug 28, 2008, the SET: Asiasoft Chief Executive Officer Pramoth Sudjitporn presented the overview of the company in the first half performance of 2008, at the "Opportunity Day", during which, he said "Asiasoft has recently purchased shares of Funbox, which markets three online games in Thailand. With our capability to select the online games and provide the top-up service, we believe that Funbox can increase its earnings in the coming year. However, we will handle only its main policy. But for its operation, the company existing team will take care of.
" Speaking of the highlight of the first half of this year in terms of the earnings, the launch of the two new games: Ghost and Freestyle and the new campaign, "@Reward", boosted our earnings to 416 million baht and the net profit to 67.8 million baht. Asiasoft's growth came from its marketing strategy as well as its online games services in four countries in the Southeast Asia region, which help reduce the system networking cost, whilst enhancing the good relations with allies and partners in the region."
