Asiasoft Sets To Open English Service of Phantasy Star Online 2 in 6 Southeast Asian Countries on 29 May 2014, with Early Access on 27 May 2014

Bangkok and Singapore, 15 May 2014 - Asiasoft Corporation Public Company Limited ("Asiasoft") today announced that the world's first English service of Phantasy Star Online 2 will go live on 29 May 2014 for players residing in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.

In early April 2014, Asiasoft kicked off Phantasy Star Online 2 Beta for players residing in the following six Southeast Asian countries: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. The Beta was held as part of the launch preparation to monitor and to improve the game's service and in-game performances. Prior to the beta, Asiasoft received over 100 thousand beta activation from gamers in all across region*, which was a record milestone for a regionally launched title by Asiasoft. During and after Beta, Asiasoft and SEGA have gathered significant data and information and now the two companies are working to improve the performance prior to the launch of the game in Southeast Asian countries. Asiasoft expects to receive additional 300 thousand new Phantasy Star Online 2 registrants during launch period of the game*.

Developed by SEGA Corporation, Phantasy Star Online 2 is the sequel to the pioneer online Action RPG, the award winning Phantasy Star Online, which was released in 2000. Phantasy Star Online 2 is a Massively Multiplayer Action Online Role Playing Game (MMOARPG) where players get to experience revolutionary combat in an action-driven gameplay, to take a journey into an immersive sci-fi fantasy narrative and to explore mysterious worlds to unravel their secrets. As of early 2014, Phantasy Star Online 2 service in Japan has reached over 3 million registered IDs and 107 thousand concurrent users, both of which are two of the key milestones for online game in Japan.
